Bye Penny my sweetheart

My first dwarf hamster Huxley passed away March 2012. I hadn't even buried him, when through FB I was asked if I would take on Penny. My friend on there had bought her from the same litter as Hugo for her son, after a year he had lost interest.
It was very bad timing & I was too upset to even contemplate getting another ham, but thanks to support on here & friends over on FB I decided to go & get her.

Well I never regretted it one bit!
Penny ended up being such a wonderful little angel. She loved cuddles & would quite happily rather sit on my hand or lap when out for floortime, rather than run around.
She was just perfect I used to call her fat waddler. I know not very ladylike but she was so chubby & had a cute little waddle when she walked. Oh how I am going to miss her, the past 11 months have flown by. She was just one in a million. I've cried so much since Tuesday. I'll never forget her. RIP my gorgeous little lady xxx

I can't believe it was 11 months... I honestly thought it hadn't been more than a few months. I'm glad it has been 11 months though, it gave Penny 11 months with a fantastic home and a really caring human.
She had a great little life but I'm still sorry she's gone.
Play well at the bridge Penny, there're some really special hams there and I know you'll have all the company and playtime you can even dream of
