Hi, I'm hoping to build a pettopia, three story extravaganza for my two hamsters and the hedgehog I'm getting, out off MDF. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a paint that is tough enough to resist hamster chewing but non toxic too?

I found Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy on a rat website, but you can't seem to get it in the UK.

Not sure any paints are completely chew proof. The general advice I've seen is to go for a paint thats non-toxic and waterproof when dry. Then just live with the risk of repainting if your pet chews through it. Most here use plastikote, our cages have naturepaint (way cheaper in bulk than plastikote), wilkos apparently do another option... But I think all can be chewed through.

That's great thanks! I knew I wasted an hour googling and should have come straight here...
