Bear is currently in a alaska but I want to get him a bigger cage, I have thought about creating a very large bin cage, connecting 2 Wham 110 litre bins together via tubes and 80 litre bins also, one with very deep substrate. I think even after getting all the tools and materials it would work out cheaper than an alexander.

Opinions please :)

Or connecting 2 of these together

Although I think there would be holes where the wheels are.

If there is a way of sealing the holes those storage boxes are awesome! I want them for the rescue hams, 90cm is much bigger than the others I've seen.

I think you can buy putty stuff that dries rock hard, 2 of them connected together would be massive, bigger than the alexander :) plus it will give me something to do.

If you manage to do it keep me updated. I'm always interested in bin cages.
Even as just one it's a pretty decent size.

I saw, on another hamster forum, that someone had made a really long 'mega bin' by removing a side from two bins, overlapping them slightly, then gluing them together. Here's a link to thread with photos.
