I didn't know him for very long, but Hazel-rah was special to me, all the same.
He was given to me by a friend who went off to college and wouldn't be able to keep him any longer. When I took him in, he was already at the age you'd consider 'elderly' for a Robo dwarf, but he was just as energetic and playful as a young hamster.

Sometime this past November, he started slowing down and sleeping more. I had a creeping feeling he was almost through here on this world, but that didn't make it anymore sad when he passed away the next month, all curled up in the corner of his cage.

This picture is blurry, but he never was very photogenic.
I owned him from July 29, 2012 to December 12, 2012.

I won't forget you, Hazel!

Hazel-rah is named after a hero rabbit in "Watership Down". What a great name for a little Robo dwarf who became your special friend. So sorry you lost him and are missing him.:'(

Thanks much for the love!
And I was fond of his name, too - I loved my Prince Hazel.

Sorry for your loss... It's rarely easy to see them leaving us, no matter how long they were by our side... Hope you soon find joy thinking about memories with him...

Sleep tight, little one...
