he looks all white but he is actually a yellow dominant spot. he has 2 small patches on his face and 2 on his back. as a show hamster he wouldnt do very well, but i fell head over heels in love with him. he has lovely soft fur

I wont be starting until this wet tail has totally cleared up. I'm lucky that I have been researching it all for 6 months and that I go to shows and things so have gotten a lot of friends in the fancy who have been very helpful. I have rescued and rehomed 2 Syrians boys last month - 1 to my daughter's friend and the other to a friend at work so I will get regular updates.

I'm not going to rush into it and I'm taking in slow. I would love to breed Noah at a later date. I have got all the parentage for all my hamsters which makes for interesting reading.

Im still building up my website - I'm no expert so it's taking a while. I'm trying to make it clear to people about the responsibility having a hamster brings because I get so angry when I read people cannot afford to go to the vet etc. People just seem to think 'it's only a hamster' so I want to make people know about their responsibilities as well.

wow, what is it with Charlies? I used to have a hamster called Charlie, and since then practically every hamster called Charlie has looked exactly like him!! it's truely a mystery.

Hows things going down at Pet lamb Hamstery? Any litters as of yet? What happened with the Wet Tail?

hi,wet tail has gone now thanks. Babies still in isolation.

going to wait 7 more days until 100% sure my others haven't got it - I wouldn't have thought so now - then I will breed paddy and daisy.

Do you know how the Wet Tail outbreak started as this may help you prevent it happening in the future

yes, my 2 babies I brought from breeder were quite young (4 weeks) and were running on together when I noticed the wet tail 2 days after they came home. So as far as I'm concerned it was the stress that brought it on.

in future I wont ever get a hamster that young - sticking to my usual 6-7 weeks

I always feed my pups on Harry Hamster and supplement with AviPro have never (touch wood) had a case of Wet Tail in any of my hamster babies. How are Daisy's babies Emma can you hear lots of squeeking? I would recommend you get a good pre/probiotic from your vet or specialist pet supplier for the little ones, and Harry Hamster food if you use it already. Did you manage to get wheatgerm okay?

I would love to see more pictures of Noah too. I have a shorthaired Yellow White Bellied Dominant Spot in my recent litter and he/she is so far completely white, I cannot find any coloured patches anywhere yet.
