I want to make a DIY hammock but was wondering what is the best material to use? I have some fleecy material but wasn't sure if it was safe to use incase Peter chewed it. Hes not a big chewer but I don't want to risk anything.

Also, what do you hang your hammocks up with? I'm a bit worried that if he was to chew it while sat on it and chewed the 'hangers' he'll fall out of it.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kelly! I think this (http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/diy-do-yourself-hamster-projects/8296-homemade-hammock.html) might help you, and this (http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/diy-do-yourself-hamster-projects/18630-home-made-hamster-hammock.html) version looks very cute as well.
It also seems safet than the first one - I personally wouldn't use safety pins.
I would use something like this instead (it's a simple keychain hook, I believe):

Fleece is best for hammocks IMO, like the second one Moonlight linked too :)

I wouldn't worry so much about him falling out - unless you have a really tall cage he won't fall far. If he does chew it though take it out.

The fleece I have got is like that in the first link. But i do have an old 'onsie' that I could cut up because its more like the second link?

That should work. Good luck! I'd love to see some pictures when it's done. =)
