To make two posts in this section on the same evening is something I never thought I would have to do.
My best friend, my sweet angel, my hamster.
Baby girl I honesty thought you would live forever, how was I ever to imagine a life without you in it? I'm shaken up by this. Truffle I was ready for but not you, never you. So fat and healthy you were over two years old but if I had to guess when you would go it would be months and months away. Not today.
March 2011 I went up to P@H in Bristol with the intention of getting a pair of Campbells hybrids, I went straight over to the ham cages and set my eyes on two beautiful silver and white hamsters. You and Pippy were quite the pair.
You were sisters but both of you looked so different, you were much closer to a Winter White and even at the many shows you attended in your life the judges would say how well you would do in main class, I know you were a hybrid but to me you will always be a Winter White.
I brought you home and you were a feisty monkey! You nipped me a lot and you had very loud vocals, I named you Thistle after the Thistle plants that grow near our house that I always scratch myself on. I thought about you whenever I saw them. Your middle name was Bear because of your tremendous size! You have always been huge and at your best you weighed over 80g! Finally Sapphy, your last name was simply down to your colour, a sapphire.
You were perfect in every way.

We all fell so deeply in love with you, my Dad loved you so much. He would come into my room in the middle of the day or in the evening, ignore me and go straight to your cage :lol:
You loved your cuddles, and you loved to sleep in the comfiest of places. Oh yeah and you loved Pizza too! Remember that time you tried to steal my takeaway?

There is so much I would like to say about you Thistle, like how much you brightened up my day. How you have been the biggest help getting me through my illnesses. How my life is never going to be the same now you are gone. I can't add as many photos as I want to but I hope the following ones will sum up how quirky she was and why she meant just so much to me.
I can't say goodbye to you Thistle, it would break my heart. All I can say is I love you so much and you will always be my one and only. xxxxxxxxxxxx :cry:
