r.i.p. Flower

[Stockannette]

We had to have Flower pts Wednesday. I am still probably not ready to “talk” about it yet.

The vet says she developed a gastrointestinal disease, and there was 10 percent chance she would survive a surgery that likely would not work, anyway. We didn’t want her to suffer.

The last thing our sweet darling did was crawl up onto my shoulder from the exam table and fall asleep. We buried her in the back yard, in a box lined with a little flowered blanket, and a peanut “for the road.” Our hearts are broken more than I can express.

Oh no oh no!!! I'm so sorry. I just lost my Ramyun Noodles on Thanksgiving and it does feel so empty without him. Cleaning out the cages was tough. Flower was one of the most beautiful hamsters I've seen. Just loved her and everyone here did too. R.I.P., little gorgeous one.

Thank you so much. My best friend was over here visiting with my Mom yesterday and he found the Flower book on the coffee table, and we looked through it and cried.

Little Carmelita is helping me to heal some, though, but there will never be another Flower.
