I know all you hamster lovers don't just love hamsters but love all animals so I have some terrible news. Yesterday we had to release from pain our beloved German Shepherd Pooka  . She was taken ill and scans showed a tumour on her spleen which was inoperable. She was only 5years 11months and was a zainy, crazy, twirling, loving big part of our lives. We miss her so much.    R.I.P. Pooka

Oh that is sad news indeed. Pooka is now at peace and free from pain, I understand completely how difficult this time and decision must have been for you, he was just a young man, with you for a too brief number of years but his memory will be with you and your family forever. I truly believe in doggy heaven and I can see him now with Shep and Bo two of the German Shepherds I grew up with. Rescued guard dogs who would defend you to their death if called upon. This breed makes excellent family pets and their eyes are so expressive. They really do seem to understand every word we say to them. I know it will be a sad time in your home just now they really do claim a large chunk of our hearts. If it helps please speak about your favourite times with Pooka. We are here to listen and support you through your grief. Hugs and best wishes to you all.

I'm so sorry Pophammy, it's so heartbreaking to lose any pet, but I think dogs are doubly hard as they really are a family member. I can't bear the thought of losing my own dog, even though I have to deal with this daily when I'm at work it never gets easier.

My thoughts are with you :(
