Ruby,
From the moment I saw you, I knew it was meant to be. You were beautiful, so, so small but you had a huge character. I loved your colouring, you were the first Tortoiseshell I'd ever seen in person.

As the weeks went by, our friendship grew. You really did live up to the Naughty Tortie nickname!

We had a special bond, you and I. You could be jumpy but you loved playtime, even if sometimes you saw it as an escape! I'd even sneak a cuddle sometimes...

When we went to the show and you came 3rd, I was so proud of you.

On Thursday night, before I went to bed do you remember what I said? I said the same as every night since I brought you home. 'Goodnight Rubz, love you! See you tomorrow!' Before school on Friday morning, when I checked on you, I knew you were passing. I'm so glad I could say goodbye. I hope you weren't in any pain, it was so quick. Within a few minutes of being in my arms I knew you were gone, but in school I secretly hoped somehow that you were okay, and that I'd get home and you would be waiting for me, begging for a treat or just being your crazy self.
When I laid you in your final resting place tonight I thought of all that I've wrote here and more. I wish we'd had more time together, but I am glad for the time we had and the memories I keep.

I miss you so much Ruby.

Oh Amy I'm so sorry :(, I will miss Ruby here very much. I've always loved your pics of her as she was such a gorgeous girl, and clearly very content which shows how well you cared for her.

Ruby was such a lovely ham. She was beautiful and unusual, and I really enjoyed your updates on her. May she rest in peace <3
