Goodbye, my sweet Chaos

My darling little boy, Chaos, passed away peacefully this afternoon. He was almost 2 years old.

Chaos, AKA Professor Chaos, Mr. Chaos, MC, Emcee, Emcee Ninja, Little Guy, etc...one of the dearest little hams I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was so gentle, he never bit, and he loved attention. He would climb up to the top of his cage for attention, and wave his little paws out between the bars when he wanted to play. He was so silly, with such a big personality for such a tiny little guy.

The only thing he loved more than attention was running in his wheel. He could run in that thing all night long! He could hardly hold still long enough for a picture, he was so full of energy.

Chaos, your daddy and big brother Apples and I all miss you very much. You were taken from us far too soon. I hope hamster heaven is full of wheels for you to run on, and millet for you to feast on. We love you.

Thank you, all. I miss him so much. Last night I was getting millet out and I instinctively grabbed two little pinches, one for him and one for Apples, and I went over to where his cage used to be, and remembered he wasn't with us anymore. I hope there's lots of millet for him in hamster heaven :)
