Chelsea!

A while back I put my name down for a " tri coloured " hamster at a petshop near me. I had always drooled over them when I went in there!
So a couple of weeks ago I got a call, and decided it wouldn't hurt to look :wink:
Came home with this beautiful girl we have named Chelsea.
She unfortunately developed wet tail after about 5 days, but a week after treatment she seems to be right as rain, much to my surprise and complete delight :D
When I got her initially I sent pics to Holly to see if she could shed any light on her actual colour. She thinks chocolate tortoiseshell banded, bit of a mouthful! The reason I didn't show everyone at that point was because of my wet tail paranoia.............
Also think she may be satin?

She really is lovely, Keri - I think a few people on here will be drooling over her, I love that second to last picture, what an expression!

She really does look very shiny like a Satin - as for the colour, I'm no expert but I think they call Tortoiseshell banded "Tortoiseshell and white". I wonder if anyone else thinks she's a Chocolate Tort - I've never seen one it was a semi-educated guess!!!!!

again, Im no expert but Julie's guess looks spot on to me! She is an absolute beauty I have to say, and I agree she does look as though she could be satin.

She is really gorgeous. I love those colours and she has beautiful markings. I think she is a chocolate tort and white too. She does look satin too! So glad she has recovered from her illness. Keep the piccies coming. :lol:

Very pretty. She is a chocolate tort and white, probably satin too from the look of her.

Wow, they are some pretty hamsters! I've never really thought about keeping patterned varieties but it certainly makes me think!

I love the pic of the other one, so pretty.
I just find the torts exceptionally attractive, it took all my willpower ( and I don't possess much ) not to get two! They also had about four golden tort and whites and a black tort and white ,but Chelsea just stuck out like a sore thumb!!
She's still a bit jumpy and skittish, but she comes to the front of her home when you go up to say hello,so won't be long until we're best buddies :wink:
