(I hope I have made the pics small enough)
I was hoping you might be able to help me out re. his colour. I always thought he was a cream(-banded satin) but as you can see he is quite dark on his "top end" especially, so I was wondering whether his true colour might be honey? I don't know much about hamster colours, so if anyone can set me straight I'd be interested to hear it! Thank you!

Not sure on his colour but he's gorgeous :D

He looks like a black eyed cream satin banded to me. The satin darkens the cream. He is just adorable and looks like a real character :lol:

Thanks, both. I've heard before that the satin darkens the cream, so that may be it. He is a gorgeous boy, I'm very fond of him :wink:

There is a size limit, to enable most people to see on different sized monitors, and to ensure that pictures load easily I guess (though that is more Smoo technical stuff!)

I usually do my pics as a maximum 800 x 600 pixels, which always seems to work.

Leon is adorable, and I would agree a lovely cream satin banded. On a shorthaired hamster the satin really darkens the colour so much, and gives it a really plush look, just as you have caught in your pics. Well done on that, cause taking photos of satins can be really hard!

As a fellow Satin owner, I can sympathise - you take the pic from one angle, and it's a gorgeous cream; the light changes, and you end up with orange!

What a little stunner. I am constantly amazed by how the Satins seem to really 'glow'. He really is lovely.
