I'm going to be making two bin cages for my two chinese hammies:) They are going to be spoiled rotten when I have the bin cages:P going to get them all sorts to keep them occupied :)

Is this mesh okay for them? They won't be able to squeeze through will they??

Looks like it will be fine :)

Thats fine, even young hams would be stuck in there :) We use the same size mesh on our syrian Fwirl's cage to discourage bar chewing because of how small it is

My chinese has 6mm mesh, and can only just get her nose through :p

That's what I used on my ZZ2. The ZZ1 that Poms gave me tat Peaches and Marmalade (robos) live in is meshed with 1cm mesh, though, and they can't squeeze out of it. Either would be fine but I probably prefer the 1cm tbh as you can easily put treats through it if you want to and it's easier to hang things.

I use 6mm mesh for my bin cages so babies can't escape. Plus hams find it difficult to chew it as even the chins struggle to get their noses through (but can still climb it).

Yep, that's fine. Don't forget to post pics when it's done ;)

Thank you all for the reassurance ;)

I will most definitely be showing pictures when it's finished!! (Which wil most likely be in around 4 weeks, as I need to finish college first (wish me luck) :)
