I have tried chicken with mine a couple of times and I have to say that they aren't that enthusiastic about it - I'm not really sure why though.
However, I gave Gizmo a small bit of ham yesterday (he was out while I was eating some) and he wolfed it down! Is it ok to give them small amounts of other meats or not? I can't really see why it wouldn't be, but nobody else has really mentioned it.

The other thing that crossed my mind is: Can they have moist cat/kitten food? I know they can have the dried stuff but can they have the stuff in cans/pouches? I have never tried it myself, or heard of anyone giving it, so wondered whether you had tried it or heard of someone else feeding it?

When Fuzzy lived in the dining room she had bits of every meal we had. As soon as we sat down she would be there at the bars begging and my hubby and sons fed her despite my protests. She had all kinds of meat, veg, pasta and fish and chips. I'm sure that it was not really good for her, she was as fat as a tennis ball but I have to say her fur and colour were much better than they are now she is in the hamster room on a normal diet!
I have never tried wet kitten/cat food but probably a tiny bit would be ok.

Wet cat/kitten food is fine, mine didn't like it though!

Mine didnt like wet cat food either when we tried them with it, but they certainly like ham.

And although I wouldn't suggest it for a normal treat ours have had bits of lots of food and other meats, including hot dog frankenfurters, which they adored. :D
