we're going to aus from the 19th july for about 5 weeks, return date is not set yet. will be needing someone to have harry from the 18th july as we leave early the next morning to get down to london. i'll supply everything he could possibly need, he will just need someone to love on him and play with him. :)

There are some places if you google small animal boarding in your area
Pet boarding Staffordshire Stoke on trent Pet Lodge (http://www.pets-lodge.co.uk/)

MOORLAND SMALL PET HOTEL - Small Pet Boarding in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire (http://www.findpetboarding.com/smallpetboarding/profile/4714)

Contact/Small Animal Boarding/Pet Sitting - Woof Woof Derby - Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands (http://www.woofwoofderby.co.uk/contact.asp)

May be worth trying?

I would offer but I'm an hour in the wrong direction - if you would be happy travelling I could look after him for you (I have the space, definately the time and a vet just up the road just in case).

He'd actually be fine on the train. Quite a few people go to shows by train. You could make sure you travel at a quiet time and take a blanket to cover his cage :)

Id think a train would be better as they are smoother and travel in straight lines ... compared to a car !

How far are you from London? I'd take him if you can drop him off at mine (sorry, I don't drive).

mighty hard to carry a travel cage, cage, and 6 weeks worth of food and treats on the train by myself. my neighbour will feed and water him for me. he just wont be out to play for the 6 weeks.

Unfortunately I'm in Essex so no use either. I'm surprised there's nobody closer than SS. Must be a bit of a hamster wasteland up there :( I hope something comes up for you xx
