R.I.P. Ruby

Little Ruby passed away in my hands yesterday at around 5pm. She was found on the floor of her cage around 2pm, cold and unwell. We do not know what happened to our little girl, it was a tragic and sudden shock. Tomorrow would of marked a year since I was given her. My mother went out and bought a special little box for her to be buried in, and a photo frame with a picture of her in it.

You passed away so suddenly,
You were found and then you were gone,
But do not worry my little one,
You will never be alone.

You waited for me to say my goodbye,
And so you said yours,
As you left this world in my hands,
And your spirit went off to soar.

You had but one fatal flaw,
Which is that you were bred wrong,
By the people who only saw you as,
A money sign all along.

You will forever be missed my little one,
And always remain in my heart,
Forever and ever and ever,
So we are never apart.

I am so sorry, what a shock :( Ruby was such a special little girl. She was so beautiful, and her eyes were amazing! And I'm sure she had a great personality to go with all that :(

Thanks everyone, little Ruby was buried alongside my past hamsters, my step father even made a special little cross for her. I hate seeing her cage empty, and even miss her bar chewing, but I know she is no longer in pain.
