Could I make a hammock out of a tea towel? New baby ham is monkey barring on top of the cage. i thought this might break his fall abit.

Any one done it? Know how to? Do I just tie the corners to the cage?

Thanks

I've seen it done that way for rats, so as long as the ham doesn't chew I think that'd be fine for a hamster too :)

I know how to make an apron out of tea towels :p

If you can tie it securely, go for it. If you fancy a bit of sewing and have some cotton tape or strong ribbon and some clips then you could fold it into the right sized square, right sides together, attach the cotton tape (loop it or something to ensure you can attach the clips), sew all around the edge, except a small gap, turn it right side out, sew up the gap and ta da, hammock :D

That probably makes no sense whatsoever... I made a hammock the other day (cotton fabric and fleece) and thats the basics of how I made it. Minus the straps - I made mine out of the same fabric as the bottom and it took me almost an hour to turn it right side out).

Just make sure to take it out if it gets chewed at all :)
