RIP Sookie

I had to sadley have Sookie pts on Friday afternoon.

She hasnt been well for a while with what looked like a large lump on her tummy going up to her neck.

I took her to the vets and she was put on antibiotics for a week and the lump went away and she seemed a little happier. But then sadley the lump came back, her breathing went funny and sores came up over her skin and she went very red around her eyes. So i took her back and she started to pass thick blood from her back end :( They gave her a little gas so they could examine her and the lump on her tummy was full of liquid and they her breathing became worse. We made the horrible choice to have her pts sleep to stop her from being in pain. They are unsure what caused her to be ill but the vet felt her organs had started to shut down :(

Im still very sad about it all but i know i done the right thing.

I'm so sorry Mandy, the vet believed my George was only a few days from the same thing as he was full of fluid as well as him tumor too. You absolutely did the right thing for Sookie, she needed you to help her to the bridge, and not keep her here just for you, to give her that last gift of love. She'll be playing safe at the bridge till it's time for you to see her again xx

I'm so sorry to hear about Sookie. You have given her the greatest kindess you ever could. She's not in pain now and is happily running around with old friends and new ones. Be a good girl Sookie and have fun. xxx

Thank you everyone. I buried her today in her pot and will buying a nice plant to put in it xx She is going to live in my mums garden xx
