:D I am a mom to 3 human kids and now the momma to 2 baby Syraine(5wks old) hammies. Romeo and Juliette are brother and sister and YES we have them in separate cages in separate rooms

I have never had hammies before and so this has been a real learning experience for not only my kids but for me too  I look forward to meeting everyone and of course learning more about our new members to our family.

To post pictures you need to be able to host them on the web - there are many free hosting websites such as Photobucket or MSN. Give us a shout if you need a hand. Look forward to talking to you soon and hearing more about your little ones' adventures.

Welcome to Hamster Central 2hammies :D and welcome to Romeo and Juliette - I love the names! What colours/coat types are they? If you have any questions at all feel free to ask on the forums that's what we're here for.....and we love pictures too!

It reminds me of my first ever hamster - we got two, brother and sister, one for me and one for my little brother. They lived side by side in identical cages, and thankfully never met!

Watch it though hamsters can be addictive!

 Oh my I know what you mean about hammies being addictive!! I think since I have gotten Romeo and Juliette we have spent darn near our food budget on them! but I keep telling my husband that I am not spending money on fabric right now so not to worry! :P

Romeo and Juliette as far I know are Syrian's and Romeo's coloring is white with black eyes and pink ears with a touch of drk brown tips. Juliette is a medium brown with the golden hamster coloring and black eyes but no white on her at all. She looks like her Mommy and I am assuming that Romeo looks like his Dad. I never saw their Daddy.

As for their names....I chose them! I told my kids that since I am the one cleaning the cages I get to pick them! my kids went along with it no problem and like the names.

2hammies, thats cute that you got to pick the names, only fair I'd say! Especially as you'll be the one who probably will be attatched to them more than anyone else in the family!

I do like it when adults get to have hammies. So many people seem to think that they're just a kids pet but its so untrue. My hubby said the same thing at first "Its ok if you're a 10 year old".... and my reply was " who do you think breeds them?" LOL! Love 'em and always will !
