Anyone here cross stitch? I've just started a new project, it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things again as I haven't done any for about a year (and figure out how to hold a massive frame!) but I'm enjoying it :D
This is what I've done so far, it is white, the lighting has made it look orange -

(sorry if it's still big, Photobucket can take a while to resize stuff sometimes)
It's a Tatty Teddy design called "With Love" and this is what it will hopefully look like when I've finished it -

Definately post some pics emily :D I've not done any big projects (this is the biggest actually) but then most of my crafty things are smaller pieces.
If it takes too long I get bored and forget about it :/

I like to cross stitch when I have time :) I have quite a few framed ones on my wall and I did a huge one for my parents Golden wedding. I will have to do some photos.

Yeah I think I might starlight, you've wet my appetite :)
I started to make a cross stitch with a thistle on it - which I was/am going to sew together and then fill with lavender for my grandmother. I wanted to make her something she could smell and touch as she doesn't see so well. I started before November and did the first part but then had to start using white thread in the pattern which was completely impossible to see. Also I don't have anything to keep it tight when stitching so its a little difficult to handle. I think i need to invest in a hoop type thing to hold it in so I can get it completed.
Will pick one up this week and try and get some more done whilst this holiday period conntinues for another week.
Thanks for the prompt Starlight :D

We bought one of those but the number of yarns we would have had to buy to do the pictures made it impossible!
Here are some of mine. A pic I did for my other half as he loves golf and we went to Uni in St Andrews

I've done a lot of cross stitching over the years. I love Jo Verso's books & have made most of my projects using her books. I haven't done any for a while but think I will start a new one since this thread has inspired me. :)
Off to find a hammie one to do. :)

Oooo Demecat, I love that first one. :) I normally do my own patterns/designs by using ideas from Jo Verso's books but fancied buying a kit for a change. :)

oh wow all of these are lovely! Much nicer than any I've done. I like punch needle more than cross-stitching, mostly because I don't have the patience to do the counted cross-stitching that comes in the kits. Do you guys mostly use the kits, or design them yourselves?
I am working on a simple punch needle design that my mom got me for Christmas, maybe after that I'll try and tackle a counted cross-stitch.

i started my first one over christmas. Womblehands sent me a tinkerbell one for my birthday, a friend started it for me. I love it but i cant do it for long as my eyes start to hurt!
