Hamster of the Month - January 2012 POLL NOW ADDED

Sorry this is a bit late!
It's a new month so we have to choose the 'Hamster of the Month' for next month. The winning hamster will appear on the front page of the forum so when someone comes on to the forum they will see the picture. :smile: It will also be made into a Calendar pic for January and posted for anyone to print out.
In entering the competition you give permission for you picture to be used in these ways.
PLEASE TRY AND RESIZE PHOTOS AS SOME ARE HUGE AND ARE STRETCHING THE FORUM.

So it could be YOUR hamster who becomes famous. :grin:

1. This competition is for the January Hamster of the month.

2. You may enter 1 picture and this should be accompanied by a few lines telling us a little about you hamster and why it should be chosen.

3. The picture should be clear and as charming as possible

4. The picture must be of a hamster of any species and it must belong to you or your family. It may be with you now or have passed to the bridge.

5. Closing date for entries is 23rd December.

6. The voting will be posted and the new pic will be displayed in January. It will also be made in a printable calendar.

7. Please try and post a new photograph that you have not entered in a previous competition.

8. It may be themed if you wish and January has New Year and winter!

Please do not post any comments on this thread and only post entries. PM me with any queries. If you cannot post pics then e mail me the pic and I will post it on your behalf.
I have noticed that some of the pictures posted are very large. These pictures do not do your entry justice as people will not scroll across the page to view the whole image, it stretches the forum and also it can pixelate and make your picture less clear. Please resize your pictures so that they just fit across the forum. Around 600pixels width is a good size. Also you should ensure your picture is very clear and in focus as a blurry picture will not attract votes. Thanks.

I would like to enter Kodi. He is the sweetest little guy you would never believe how bad of a background he comes from. He gently takes treats from your hand and begs for out time. When I got him he was a CL " free" hamster said to be a biter. I think Kodi should be chosen because he is adorable and has such an expressionate loving face and has brought me so much joy. Plus he is such a sweet boy :)

I'd like to enter Cookie this month. As most of you know she's very poorly at the moment so I think it would cheer both her and me up to see her become HOTM. I think this picture really shows just how beautiful she is, inside and out. Doesn't that little face just scream "Welcome to HC!"

Hey guys! As you know, I have a new hammie, Scarlett. She's a very feminine, lovely girl and I fell in love with her straight away. This is one of the first photographs I took of her. She was very good and stayed still, more inquisitive than scared of the camera and as I'm sure you can tell, she's a very photogenic young lady :D
I'd love it if she could be HOTM, and even if not, Scarlett and I would be so honoured to get a few votes at least ^^

Bella was extremely unsettled, squeaky and panicky when we first got her and we couldn't handle her because she would attack anything that went near her or the cage. She has now come very far. She has settled even though it has taken her 4/5 weeks.

Poppy would love to be this months hamster of the month, because she has done a fantastic job bringing up 11 of the cutest babies ever! I would like to enter McNulty, who belonged to me and Fofinha.

She was adventurous and playful, not afraid to lick your nose or grab your fingers, though she never bit, and she used to pin her ears back against her head so it looked like she didn't have any ears at all.
She could jump six inches from a standing start if there was something that far away that she felt like chewing, and she had her own theme tune.
But most of all she was our hamster, the lovable McNulty.
