What can I use to help my hams up their ladders?

Hi,

My 2 robos are struggling to get up their plastic ladders. The ladders are grooved and not steep at all, but my hams just seems to try to get up them once or twice then give up!

Is there anything I can put on the ladders to give them a bit more grip? I was thinking about the soft side of velcro tape, but I was worried they'd eat it!

Please let me know your thoughts!

I'd be worried they'd eat velcro as well :?

Our robo arrives tomorrow and I know he'd have a problem with the ladders in his new cage as they are now (they are open runged metal with cardboard weaved through) so I've bought him two small sized log ladders this morning - I'll let you know how he goes with them.

Go with cardboard as the above poster says. It works for any size of hamster
