So I was inspired by Detolf cages and how amazing the natural scenery looked. I want to try and make a mini version of a detolf cage using my bin cage. Over this week I will be getting more elements for my cage until it will finally be finished. So here I will be posting any updates that happen :)

Oooh, cool :) You should make a list of all the products you used! Then maybe some other people from North America could follow a bit? I have issues with cool toys -.-

I will, my mother has actually offered to help me with this :DD. Which is a surprise because she just wants him to have a traditional small wire cage. (didn't support my bin cage idea, wheel switch etc)

I make my own things. North America is useless with animal supplies. I constantly vent to my parents. Why did they have to come to Canada LOL.

Sorry for no updates. At the moment my hamster's cage hasn't change since I am very busy with school and I am not working as much (I babysit). I will probably have major updates during the winter break, exam break or March break :)

what kind of glue do you use? I want to be sure whatever I use is safe.

Use pva, it's non toxic and I sure ate enough as a kid to be sure it couldn't hurt anyone :')

I started with the natural cage idea and eventually gave up because I thought it would be too much work, but I've started once again.

Pictures will soon be posted as soon start adding my materials to the cage.

Aw, I haven't been on in a realllllllllly long time. Kubus is 17 months old now and he's still the little energetic bundle of fluff he's always been. I'm getting the materials this week, I'm actually really excited!

This is what I plan on buying:
-timothy hay
-various log houses
-possibly some moss
-branches (Thankfully my neighbors have a pear tree which is perfect!)

I was finally able to go out and buy the supplies I needed. I originally planned to go to Petsmart, but my mom took me to Pet Mart because they had a bigger selection. This is only the basic layout of the natural habitat I'm probably going to add more things later on.
