hammies use wheel as toilet then eat of it!

my hammies are now useing there wheel as a loo then they take food from there bowls and dump it on the wheel when they open up nuts etc is this somthing to be worried about.

Nothing to be worried about, it's perfectly normal :) Removing food when you see it might help because they might learn but probably not for a while :roll: Don't worry though :)

Our dwarfs always wee on the wheel. I think they get carried away and then just run through it. They take food on it too. We shake the food off when we see it there as it is not entirely hygenic but it does not seem to harm then. Once they are fully settled they will probably stop it.
