Yesterday, on Dewey's 2nd birthday, he passed away. There's not much I can write about it. I mean... he was old.

I remember the first day I got him, because he was listed on Craigslist, the result of an accidental pregnancy. I drove about an hour to get him and he looked like a little mouse...

he was soo small and so shy, but he finally started to open up... he was never one of those hamsters that would run out and greet me, or fall asleep in my hand, but he would let me hold him for hours and I was happy with that. He was quite photogenic...

You provided him with a good life he could not have had otherwise. Although he was unintentional, he was not a mistake. To quote Bob Ross: "We don't have mistakes. We have happy little accidents." Your happy little accident appreciated the life you gave him. I absolutely believe this.

I'm sorry, it must have been a shock :( 2 years old is old-ish, though he could have still lived a good few months =/ But now he hopefully has a lot longer at the Bridge, where he's properly taken care of with all the toys he can imagine :D
