Just wondering your opinion on it

I've heard of some people having success with it, it's just a lot more work if it doesn't work out. I think a lot of time and special consideration would need to be put into their set up in order for it work out. Not to mention a lot of time spent watching their social behaviour so you can pick out problem hams, or habitat triggers, etc.

I have 2 pairs but only 2 per cage I think 4 would be hard in one cage

And with 4 you would need a really big cage xD

I'd stick to pairs tbh, colonies can be kept but there's so much risk it's really not worth it. :)

missPixy from Hamster hideout has luck in using multiple cages for her groups, but she does spend a lot of time with them and has a great bond with them all, it really alters the way they seem to even perceive each other.

For the most part I agree, not a good idea, heh.
