awww congrats, that brilliant they found a home with you :D
Gabber rex/zoozone 1/duna multy is a good size for a pair, although depending on how active they are you could consider something bigger.

i thought of them too when i saw them and everybody seems too think that ^^ *blush*

what about a zoozone 2 the large or is that too big? there pretty active just now.

I'd say Zoozone 2 for the pair was fine. :)

aww, congrats. it's nice to hear they live together!!

try and get two of everything for them too to save the squabbling as that can apparently encourage them to fight. the bigger cage will help them stay friends too.. not sure if a zoozone would be too flat for them though? I would have though something that has tubes and sections would have been more suitable perhaps, so they're not living too closely all the time...

you seem to have plenty of fun stuff for them already though, they look very happy! looks like they have found a good home to be spoilt in :P

all so i have too wheels too sand baths too little houses and how should i put the food out with bowls? :S

stellanova1
06-09-2011, 03:34 AM
I scatter feed the food mix for more than one ham. I think a zoozone 1 would be fine for now but they might need more space as they get older a zoozone 2 would be good xx

Probably other people who can give better advice but watch out for one constantly chasing the other and bottom nipping. Not a good sign. :(
I experienced this with my robo's and also with cinnamon and zoe. In both cases had to seperate, you can just tell when they don't like each other, won't groom each other or sleep together much :(

I've heard loud squeeks coming from Tubs and Skinny and Thingumy and Bob before and one was just grooming the other one a bit too much lol

Glad they found a home with a `rodenty` person! :) They look like winter whites debs? Cage size I would go with something like a Zoozone 1 or 2 or a Gabber Rex, or similarly, a barred cage that was safe with the same footprint.

If the girls do end up squabbling, they can always go into their own habitats. Love the wee male though as I`m a male hamster fan! ;)

there ww? i thought they where cambells?

Sammybingo
06-10-2011, 04:39 AM
The dorsal stripe makes me think they may well be WWs, but I'm no expert for sure!

Congrats on your new additions! Can't believe someone dumped these cuties, they are adorable! x

thanks you :D i know its so hurtful :( does anybody know? i get mixed up with ww and
campbell hamsters

racinghamster

The main reason I thought winter white was the colouring. I had a male WW with the same expressions. Yours look similar, but I`m no russian expert! Just making a comparison with the lad I had.

Winter whites should have an additional darker stripe along the edging of the color pattern on the sides--not necessarily as dark as the stripe on their back but still noticeable. The white fur under the zig-zagging dark stripes on the sides should have some dark hairs scattered around and no beige on the white parts.

Here's a photo comparing a WW and a Campbell in your colors:
Campbell's & Winter White Hamsters: How to Tell Them Apart (http://www.dfs-pet-blog.com/2010/12/winter-white-hamsters/)

It's hard to tell from your photos given the brightness and orientation, but the girls seem more WW to me.

Body-shape wise, I'm still not an expert, but they look winter white - hybridy to me.

Looking again at your photos debs, I would say winter white aswell. They seem to have that faint `double stripe` that Hamtastic`s link shows in the comparison between the two? I only realised recently that my Scooby was a winter white when all along I was`nt too sure, but I am now! :) I lost my wee guy a few years ago though. :(

06-10-2011, 07:24 AM
oh my :D they look so much like Campbell's

debs
06-10-2011, 07:25 AM

Gizmodo ^_^
06-10-2011, 07:38 AM
You cant get winter whites in that colour though..
Only Sapphire (greyey colour like my Gizmo,Hugo,Horace)
Pearl (Mabel)
Agouti (Hattie,Huxley)

Wait on further notice, they kinda look like winter whites
their colour isnt as prominent as my lot though

debs

maybe not full ww?

racinghamster

Nowadays it`s hard to tell. There are so many hybrids around they could be cross-breeds? Unless these hamsters come from good breeders, it can be difficult to say what their breeding is debs. But I would`nt worry about that I would just enjoy them as `russian hamsters`!

They look like agouti winter whites to me, but the first photos have an overexposed warm tint to them, so hard to tell. Some of the last photos are more obvious.

Aw :( Well, I'm sure they will be fine on their own!

Also, on the color debate, here are some color-corrected photos (de-yellowed).
