Say hello to Pie!

Gumtree is a terrible thing. :p I spotted this little guy and went to pick him up on Monday. His name's Pie, because, well, I like silly food names. :mad:

I'm pretty sure he's a hybrid? (If he isn't, sorry I posted this in the wrong place!)

His home isn't much yet, a Mini Duna, but still bigger than what he was in. I've got a Jnr Wodent wheel on order, should be here in a week or two. I can't seem to get hold of a Mini Duna platform, but I'm still searching, and I'm keeping an eye out on eBay for something larger like a second-hand ZZ1 or a Multy nearby. :)

:eek: He is flippin gorgeous, Im so jelous now, well done for giving him a home. The name isnt at all silly (well it is but shhh dont tell anyone that ;) ), I had a rat called Pie and if your Pie is as lovely as he was then you will be doing ok.

The names you give your hammies are Ace, Dumpling is amazing though, perfect for the chubster :D

Pie is a lovely name!!! XD Don't worry my cat family is an assortment of silly names from Fizzy Pop (Fizz for short) to Comb Over Ears (Combs for short). Silly names for pets are the best names for pets. :D

Pie's gorgeous though! He has a face you just need to smoosh.

Thanks guys. :D He's the first hamster I've ever had who rather than pouching food, degorging it, and then burying it as a food store - he just buries his entire food bowl. :mad:

Haha, clever boy! Most efficient food hiding technique... until he figures out that the bowl gets removed often :)

He looks and sounds like an awesome hamster lol
Only our syrian tries storing food - The rest seem to think the food bowl is hidden enough (despite the russians having their bowl in the middle of the cage lol)
Our robos food bowls are quite close to their beds anyway and the only food the russians like storing is millet and they've even allocated a chief-millet-storer in the group lol

Maybe with burying the food bowl hes taking his name to heart - Thinks his bowl is the pastry, food is the filling, and cage litter is the top of the pastry lol
