Hamster of the Month - July 2011 POLL NOW ADDED

It's a new month so we have to choose the 'Hamster of the Month' for next month. The winning hamster will appear on the front page of the forum so when someone comes on to the forum they will see the picture. :smile: It will also be made into a Calendar pic for July and posted for anyone to print out.
In entering the competition you give permission for you picture to be used in these ways.

So it could be YOUR hamster who becomes famous. :grin:

1. This competition is for the July Hamster of the month.

2. You may enter 1 picture and this should be accompanied by a few lines telling us a little about you hamster and why it should be chosen.

3. The picture should be clear and as charming as possible

4. The picture must be of a hamster of any species and it must belong to you or your family. It may be with you now or have passed to the bridge.

5. Closing date for entries is Wednesday 22nd July.

6. The voting will be posted and the new pic will be displayed in July. It will also be made in a printable calendar.

7. Please try and post a new photograph that you have not entered in a previous competition.

8. It may be themed if you wish and July has summer, holidays and not a lot else!

Please do not post any comments on this thread and only post entries. PM me with any queries. If you cannot post pics then e mail me the pic and I will post it on your behalf.
I have noticed that some of the pictures posted are very large. These pictures do not do your entry justice as people will not scroll across the page to view the whole image, it stretches the forum and also it can pixelate and make your picture less clear. Please resize your pictures so that they just fit across the forum. Around 600pixels width is a good size. Also you should ensure your picture is very clear and in focus as a blurry picture will not attract votes. Thanks.

Hi everyone. This is Aiden who passed away at a young age of 4 months. He was a very loving companion and I would like for him to be recognized. His sand bath was his favorite part of the cage. As soon as he woke up he would always go to the sand bath first.

This is Nim. He is one of my newest hams, I think this is such a funny pic of him and we would love for it to be included in the HOTM.

This is him in his quarantine cage, His mum and 2 sisters died of Wet Tail when he was only 2 and a half weeks old =/ I am sure the danger has passed but I still want to give him 2 weeks or so in quarantine to be sure!!

This is Hamchan. I hope he wins Hamster of the month, but even if he doesn't, he's the hamster of my heart. He is excitable and adventurous - bounces back up after he's fallen over, and wriggles ridiculously. But he lets me cuddle him and has never bitten me.

Truffle wants to try for HOTM this month!
He is such a beautiful and kind hamster and he takes very very good care of his tiny baby brother who was the runt of the litter.

Truffle will fill up his pouches with seeds and then give them all to his brother, let his brother take drinks before him and he even builds nests around him when he is sleeping.
He has looked after Cookie so well these last 7 months that he deserves to be recognised for all of the love he has shown and he has proven that even the smallest of animals can have the biggest of hearts.

Feeblah would like to be HOTM because after diligently taming them since December, I can hold them both for a short period of time without getting bit! They have both come around completely, and have become quite the sweet little cuties :)

I know he is ahead in votes, But I never liked robos till i came here, i thought of them as fast, biting, cant be handled..
