We got a hamster today and named him Scabbers. We love him!
So far I've held him maybe a minute, pet him throughout the day and he almost took food from my hand. When I pet him he stops what he's doing but let's me continue. If I sense that he's getting annoyed I stop. He has nibbled me and my husbands fingers but has not full on bit us.
From your experience does it sound like he's going to be fairly tame as long as we work with him like we are? I'd love it if eventually my son (he's 5) could hold him!
