Large Coconut House for Syrians?

I'm looking for a coconut shell house large enough for adult Syrian hamsters to comfortably use.

The ones on ebay and at Pets @ Home are all too small - our ww's use them quite happily but they are too tiny for a Syrian :(

Do you think it's possible to make one by myself by finding a large coconut and hollowing it out? Would I need to let it dry out? How hard could it be??!

I would not bother Holly as they like a large cardboard box just as well. I doub you will find one big enough anyway in the UK. It would take a while to dry and if not competely dry might go mouldy!
