Oliver! My mom felt bad and got me a hamster before she left me and went off to France. He's such a cutie, and is making me feel a lot better with the two recent hamster deaths. He's an RC hybrid(99% sure he is a hybrid) and has a Lilac Fawn coloring. I believe he is about 2 months old at the most.

You can barely see his stripe down his back. It's an extremely light grey.

This is his setup, Aiden's old cage. I didn't use most of the things in Aiden's cage at his time of death, mostly because I didn't want to trick myself into thinking he's still alive...

I wasn't ready to introduce him until today. He's just fine and doesn't bite me, but he does try to scurry away when I scoop him up for a cuddle. However, I notice he drinks A LOT. I'm not sure if it's a bladder infection or diabetes or I'm just paranoid. His urine smells fine, musky like Aiden's. And it seems as if he trembles at times?

I don't know, but I hope he will have a long, healthy life. :) And thank you everyone for the comfort with Aiden's death, especially Hamtastic and Jaybee.

awww, congrats on the new hamster! He looks a lot like a winter white in his face from the 1st pic. Nice colouring ^.^

How much is he drinking? It is getting warmer mind.. might be why. My diabetic hybrid hamster would drink a whole bottle of water in a few days and his pee smelt sweet. Feed him plenty of veggies to be on the safe side though (and just because they like it:D)
