Rest in peace, little Mango <3

Dear Mango,
I went to our local farmshop to get a hamster, about 10 months ago, shortly after Pearl passed away. Instead, i got a best friend, a loyal, fun, best friend who would cheer me up on all the bad days.
You only lived to be 1 year, almost 5 months. You were taken away far to early :(
I feel awful for letting you carry on like you did though, all through last night. I honestly thought you would pass in the night. But i found you in the morning, still struggling and thats one thing i really, really regret.
However, i hope you are now happy resting underneath the rose in our garden, and i know that up in the clouds, Pearl will be waiting for you, along with Smokey to show you around :)
I tried to give you the best life possible, and i hope you had a good time with me.
I'll always miss you, little Mango, and even when i get pets in the future, there will always be a big space in my heart for you xxx

I am so sorry for your loss :(. Mango was a beautiful guy, and you gave him such an amazing life, he must have been one of the happiest hammies alive

I'm so sorry to hear of Mango's passing. I agree, too many young hams are being taken from us but at least they had a great life - no matter how short it may have been.

In general I find it really hard to read the threads where hamsters (or any pet) has died, so I tend to avoid them. I am pathetic, I know.

I know the feeling. :( I had to put Oscar in Snickers' cage as I hated seeing it empty. xx

For the time being i've put the cage under my bed... so i can't see it, and his toys are drying outside although i'll probably just put them in a box or something :(

Yeah :) i hope by putting mango in the pot, it will teach me to look after plants better :mad: i can do animals, but never plants >.<

Hey - you did what any friend would do and you stood by him till the end. He felt your love around him and sometimes that love keeps them here longer because it is too beautiful to leave.
