Well it took a little while to come but the Savic Cambridge I bought off ebay for Fuzzy came today. The listing only had a catalogue picture so I didn't know what to expect but it was imaculate, no chewing on the bars, it looks like brand new. I think it is my best ever ebay bargain. :)

And - the boys cages, first Sid in his Imac:

Then Basil, who as the first-born, lives in the hamster mansion.

Can't actually see Basil in that photo - here he is!

and a close up of Fuzz 'cause she is so sweet. (I know her silent spinner is not big enough, she is having a wodent wheel soon).

Your pictures and cage set-ups look great, Basia 8) ...the Cambridge looks like a lovely big cage (first time I've seen one, I think) and all the hams look really happy and comfortable.

What are those hammock-type things hanging up - are they plastic? They look interesting.

I'm hoping the Wodent Wheels will come today meaning I can post them tomorrow (or this morning if I can catch the PO before it closes at lunchtime) but no sign of them so far.
It should be any time now as they were posted last Tuesday.

Is it my imagination or is Sid doing a spot of naughty bar chewing in that second picture?

They all look very comfy in their lovely cages and you are lucky they dont bar chew. Ours would so they have to stick to Gabbers!

Yes, they all bar chew unfortunately, but not excessively so far. They are much worse when they see me, attention seeking I think. :?

The hammock is a Savic Sputnic Hamster House which comes in 2 parts. It is designed to hang from the roof but I use the small bit to stop Basil falling through the hole where the disc thing should be in the Imac. Fuzzy has the larger bit as a hammock.

Looking forward to the Wodent Wheel, Holly, thanks for all your efforts ordering them. :D

I love the look of them as well. I wouldn't get one for Mocha - it would be like giving him the means to chew the roof of the Gabber to his hearts content - but I'm thinking about trying them for Treacle and Custard. I think their nests in the bottom of the Rotastak might get a bit stuffy in summer so maybe they'd use them. I haven't seen them anywhere though :?

They had them in Pets@Home Christmas time but ours don't seem to have any at the moment. They only cost £2.25 or they were free if you bought a Cambridge cage at the time.
They are definitely by Savic though.
This is what is should look like

Your cages look lovely!

Benji has a sputnik which he sleeps in - I never thought of letting it hang like that though. Mine just fits in the corner of the imac loft where the roof goes up.

I was wondering if you would be able to do something with the sputnik to help Benji get upstairs. He might even be able to climb on top of it if you put it underneath the hole....
