Last night I managed to get some pictures of Moxy which show his colour a bit more accurately:

My little bar chewer has finally been thwarted by his Gabber cages

Aww he is absolutly adorable. He is an unusual colour but I'd plump for sepia silver grey or at least a grey mix. Unique and gorgeous.

He's really lovely Holly. Does he tend to stay in his gabber rex or spend time in both cages equally? It is a lovely set up.
He is so similar to Sid it is spooky. :)

He seems to be becoming more and more a sort of buttermilk beige colour and less and less grey as he grows up. I've been studying the colours and how they are formed genetically since talking to Sheryl and Anita about him at Lymm - and I now know what Sheryl meant about "heterozygous silver-grey". If you read the first two questions and answers in the following link it explains a lot - though it's still confusing in parts:

http://www.geocities.com/calhamassoc/SepiaGray.html

So basically he's the less desirable of the two forms of Siver-Grey - though obviously not to me!!!

I think Snuggleham's got it right with Moxy:

He was definitely keen to come out - that seems a good time to try and get photos

He sleeps in the Rex, under the shelf and spends him time equally between the two when awake - his wheel is in the Lux and I hear him pattering across his bridge quite a lot in the night.

Does Sid have a fair bit of beige as well?

Thanks ....but LOL....that is so funny - if you only knew how long I've spent trying to get a single decent picture of Sparrow and Turner, only to end up with a grey or white blur :?

I think the bit about the photogenic hamster must be right
