Got dates mixed up and thought Lymm show was next Saturday (I've now realised it's Sunday 17 March) then last Thursday I was informed that next Saturday is the day when Aidan's after-school club is open for fundraising for Comic Relief and he loves to go in and take part in all the fundraising activities that are on offer. Well I gave him the choice of either the show or the fundraising and the poor little fella couldn't decide.

Fortunately I realised my mistake so now Aidan is happy that he doesn't have to make a choice and can do both and I'm relieved...although he will have to miss his quadbike lesson on 17 March but I'll try to get him in for that the day before so that should keep him happy :)

Oops...Holly's thread further down says that Lymm is on 17 March...it's ok we'll be there, I'll swap the quadbike lesson to Saturday or cancel it for this week...good job I posted this up or we'd have been arriving a week late.

Yes we'll bring Hammy...I'll get Alan to put some airholes in a plastic lid for a crate and then Hammy can travel in style...was going to stay over with my friend but it's far too late to make arrangements for this weekend so I'll just drive down early on Sunday morning.

See you all there folks

I've just checked the date on the website and I concur so Sunday 11 March it is...sorry about all the confusion I've caused but at least we haven't missed it.

I'm all excited now and Aidan will be too when he finds out how close it is...only 4 more sleeps...YAY :!:

Do you know where you are going Jill? I printed directions of the AA route planner website - the postcode for the hall where the show is being held is WA13 0HR.

And yes, I thought it was the 17th as well until Souffle helpfully corrected me - good thing or we'd have been having a very small hamster show one week late

I wish...I've tried dropping a hint and said that it's Mother's Day a week on Sunday...he said "Yes I know mum, it's your special day...I'm making you a surprise"...I then suggested going out somewhere special for lunch with Grandma (my mum)...his reply was "Ok...how about Burgerking?"

Had to cancel Sunday's quadbiking lesson and re-book for Mothering Sunday...the only available lesson for today was this morning and he's off doing his comic relief fundraising then so he couldn't make it...haven't told him yet...I'm waiting for the right moment when he's in a good mood

I did the weekly cage clean last night and sorted out the carry box for Sunday...plastic crate complete with air holes as standard so no drilling required....great for me with my limited DIY skills and no drill :P

We'll be leaving early on Sunday morning and I think we'll have Aidan's cousin Ryan with us as Aidan invited him last night...he's good company for Aidan and no bother and he doesn't get very far so I don't mind at all. They'll be fighting over the Gameboy on the way down...I can just picture it now...hope Ryan can bring his PSP but then Aidan will be wanting it so they'll just have to play "swapsies" to avoid WW3

I know Lymm quite well as I've been there for nights out with my friend who lives in Cheshire...the pub I've been to is called The Nags Head...so I don't think I'll have much trouble finding the place but I'll check it all out just to make sure.

See you soon x
