Billy (no mates)

hi again all, hope you are all well.
after adopting charlie a chinese hamster last year i have been hooked on their friendly but shy natures, sadly there are no breeders near me...... last week my russian dwarf hamster passed away peacefully in her sleep aged 2 yrs old, so i cleaned all the cage and put it away.......then popped into my local petshop last night for some hay and bits for my guinea pigs when i saw they had a tiny chinese hamster baby, so of course i had to ask why he was on his own, i was told he came in with 3 brothers and a sister but they had all sold and for some reason he had been there four days and not much interest!!!! well of course i had a look and he jumped onto my hand so home he came lol. if your not from the u.k we have a saying here if your on your own your a billy no mates, so the name billy sorta suited him. enough rabbiting heres the pics (after 24 hours settling in time) oh yea just to add he is 7 weeks old :)

thankyou, i been looking at vectis hamstery website for months now lol but they are like a million miles from me :)

thanks all. i spent last night watching him try to figure out what the heck a wheel was and why it was moving lol, by about 3am he had got it sorted tho and was having a ball running round on it :)
