Want to make your hamster happy?
:D
Here is one of my hamster's favorite recipes. They get SO excited when I give them one of these cookies!

This recipe contains sugar from the raisins and carrot juice. DO NOT FEED THESE COOKIES TO RUSSIAN CAMPBELL DWARF HAMSTERS.

I have edited this recipe to be smaller to make fewer cookies.

CARROT RAISIN COOKIES for Syrian (Common) hamsters

1/2 cup (125 ml) of multigrain flour
1 & 1/2 Tablespoons (22 ml) brown flax seeds
1 & 1/2 Tablespoons (22 ml) millet
1/4 cup (60 ml) carrot juice
2 teaspoons ( 20 ml) cod liver oil or olive oil
1 & 1/2 Tablespoons (20 ml) chopped raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 177 degrees Celsius.

Stir first three ingredients together in a bowl.

Add oil to carrot juice and whisk together. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix together and add raisins.

Form into a dough and shape into cookies the size and shape of jelly beans. Place on cookie sheet and cook in oven for about 15 minutes.

Cool in pan.

Store in airtight container in the freezer.

Give only one cookie at a time since they go moldy if not eaten in a day or two.

Enjoy!

I have updated the recipe to include metric measurements.

Hope more people can try the recipe now!
