Thanks and I read that my cage is to small for a Syrian hamster so i got board and added on and little box and i made a fun room and a bed room that has an igloo in it. Not really a maze.

there's holes in the plastic and on the side.

Is the box cardboard? I've only just noticed - if it is I'd be very careful as your ham will easily escape. :/

Nice one!

You know, weirdly, one of my niece's friends had a hamster in a cardboard box - that was her cage - and the little thing never chewed anywhere. Again, weird!

My friend had her old guinea pigs in a huge cardboard box too, they never chewed it. but personally I'd never chance it.

no i thought it was plastic box with maybe a shoebox as bed or something? i doubt the whole things cardboard...

On the second from last pic you can see that it just looks like a cardboard shoe box. I may be wrong but that's what it looks like? :)

Its a carboard box and i added plastic on the inside.

that cage alone would def be way too small for a syrian so it's nice you've added in the expansion and your hammie seems to really like it! and not all hammies will chew cardboard. i know mr nibbles (my boy syrian) wont, but my female syrian taffy would in a matter of seconds :D i think it just depends on the ham!

Okay, I'd just be very careful and get a plastic bin to add on instead as you don't want to risk him escaping. Any ham would chew through carboard if they knew it was an escape route! :)

Ok i was at pet smart and they had a Critter Trail Burrowing Maze on sale for $6 (USA) and normaly its $20 (USA) so i took off the box and added The Burrowing Maze. Yeah about the chewing on cardboard my hamster loves to because i made a cardboard house for him and he chewed the Side off so i went and just bought a wood house.

The first time i saw it i thought it was cool but expensive but now i was looking for something to add in the clearance and saw this and i was like its mine and there was only 2 left.
