Picture on profile front

How do I put a picture on to the front of my profile. so when I click on profile it has suga and a picture. I thought if I put an avater on it would appear on the front too.... but no. Can anyone help???

i removed the avater this morning. I can put it back on but wanted to get the other thing sorted first.....

I think Im a bit confused here, but let me see if I understand. Suga, you are saying you want a picture to show as your icon on the HC profiles page like some of the other people do? Becasue your profile seems to have pictures.. so you must be talking about your avatar then?

I have pictures of conker and fuzee fi on my profile... yes

see when I click on profiles on the website some have pictures and others have question marks on a white/green background.

thats where I want to put my picture

I will then put my avater on after that's sorted. I can do the avater but don't know how to make the question mark into a picture instead.

Okay Suga, I understand what your saying now.

Your forum avatar is actually tied in with the avatars on the website including the profiles avatar. I don’t know if you noticed, but everyone that has a profile avatar is the same image as used on the forum. I hope that makes sense hehe.

Anyway, just click on "my hamster central" then click "change my account settings" and then scroll down the page to the area for uploading avatars and upload your image of choice.

The avatar image can be no larger then 80x80 pixels large. If you don’t understand what that means then I can resize and upload your avatar for you if you can provide me the image you want to use.

After you upload you should see that your profile avatar has changed from the green question mark to your new image!

Please let me know if you encounter any more problems. :)

I know its not a hamster, but I don't have any other good flicks of Conker or Fuzee Fi at the moment, and in all honesty cows are my next favourite animals - ever! So hopefully its acceptable.

Hey I love cows! I don't mind what the avatar is, so long as it's an animal! I'm glad everything was worked out :) If you like Suga, I can take one of the images you uploaded to your profile and turn one into an avatar for you. Just let me know! But the avatar you have now is just fine :)

Not at the moment but thanks for the offer. Cows are great - they remind me of my grandma (she lives on a farm and kept cows when I was young) so this way I can think of her at the same time as my lovely girls...

We have some on the old landfill site here in Dundee. My parents have Belted Galloways which are a little similiar though not near as long, but great temperment. Cows can take the paint off your car with their hairy tongues...
