How old do you think Carmelo is? I have no idea! :( He has the genitals, and he is pretty large now... Here are 2 recent pics:

Its really hard to date unless you look at the teeth. He doesnt look old thats for sure, I would say hes at least a year old. But again, I belive unless you can see the teeth color its hard to pin point exactly.

It can be hard to tell if you have not had the hamster since it was a baby. The teeth, as snuggleham said are often more orangy in an older animal but we have had tots with very orange teeth! At about a year we find the ears become rather dark and shiney. They do not have the soft down covering of a young hamster. Also you find more pigment in the ears, genitals and on the scent glands as they age. Older hams can grey a bit and the fur becomes more 'tatty' They also sleep more than they used to and are not quite as active maybe running less on the wheel and getting up later. From looking at your pictures I would say he is about 10months to a year. Hope that helps.

Hammis is ten months old and I would say carmelo looks around 9 to 12 months old, but like everyone else says if you didnt have him from a baby you cant really tell, did you get carmelo from a pet shop??? I got hammis from one and I asked how old she was?? If you got him from a pet shop if the owner still no's you, you could ask how old he thinks carmelo is??

Yeah Carmelo's teeth are yellow and he can get really hyper and eats alot of his food. He's on the wheel alot, and his genitals are pink, he has little hairs around his ear, and yeah...

I think he's about 9-10 months...When I first got him (April 13th), we couldn't tell his gender because his genitals didn't pop out, but two weeks later it did! I didn't get him as a baby and I got him from a petstore and they didn't know how old he was or even his gender!
