Hello everyone, glad to make your acquaintance!

My name is Morag from Babyboos Hamstery (http://www.babyboos.com) based in Scotland, UK. I have been caring for hamsters for over 25 years  and a hobby hamster breeder. When not looking after my lovely gang of Syrian, Campbells and Winter White Russian Dwarves, Roborovski and Chinese hamsters I can be found either sleeping  or working as a Marine Biologist with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (http://www.sepa.org.uk) (SEPA) our country's non-departmental government body in charge of protecting the environment here in beautiful Bonnie Scotland.

I trully believe that only by sharing our experiences can we improve our knowledge of these amazing handfuls of fur and fun. I in no way consider myself an expert despite all these years, especially in terms of advanced genetics and hamster illness and am keen to further develop myself in these areas.

I am a member of The Hamster Society (http://www.hamsoc.org.uk) and although I personally feel temperment is far more important than producing show quality hamsters, especially as there is only currently one per year here in Scotland, I am still very much interested in improving "type" and am trying to follow the standards of the BHA (http://www.britishhamsterassociation.org.uk/) (British Hamster Association) in my breeding efforts.

I really look forward to getting to know you all better and meeting your little ones. I love showing off my furballs and I hope you do too!

Hello Morag (Babyboos)

Welcome, I very pleased that you have decided to be a member here, although at the moment its pretty silent as far as member numbers go :P All the same you need to start some place, and I am also doing my best to inform people about the new site and forum. I hope it proves to be a well-liked place :)

Please donā€™t hesitate to spread the word

By the way.. I am very pleased to have someone with breeding experience as was as experience in simply owning hamsters for a few years.

Oh Candace thank you so much for your kind welcome.

I certainly am spreading the word. I think this is a great idea and have invited all my friends and hamster aquaintances to pop along.

Old ( ) and new owners need a place like this so I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending all my new adoptees to register here for ongoing help and chat.

The very best of luck in this, and all of your other endevours.

Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing both the Hamsters Central site and forum develop for years to come.

Thank you for giving us this resource to share.

I would like to extend an invitation to all (UK owners especially, but not exclusively) to join The Hamster Society (http://www.hamsoc.org.uk/). Application forms are available from myself or visit http://www.hamsoc.org.uk. Only £10.50 for an adult for a year. We need your support and the more members we get the more shows we can hold across the country!
