What`s going on with log in`s?
I just had to ask for a new password to be able to log in? After nearly four attempts, I managed to log in with the new details I was sent from HQ. When I came to the HC homepage this morning, there was a banner above the usual page that said welcome guest. And gave instruction to join the forum? I tried a few times to log in using my racinghamster username and my password, but it just kept saying it was invalid?
Has anyone else had this happen and had to request a new password? I thought something had changed on the forum and we were all having to re join? Strange....

No problem here, I saw the banner too but logged in as per usual.

Re: What`s going on with log in`s?
Since posting the above, I have had to request a SECOND password? I tried logging in using this numerous times and have just managed to get onto the forum as I typed in, `racinghamster` and then my new password and ticked the box `remember me` and it logged me in. However, now that I AM logged in, should I STAY logged in, or if I log out, will I have the same log IN issues again?
I don`t understand why this new banner that has appeared is stating, `our records show that you have never posted before`? Now why would it state that? I don`t understand? Could a moderator or admin check this for me as I don`t understand why I have these problems when other members seem to log in fine? Thanks. I will stay logged in for now and just hope this doesn`t become a problem for me. If I don`t post again, you will know why.

Re: What`s going on with log in`s?
Thanks soufflé, appreciate it. I will stay logged in for now and use the new password if I need to log out and log in again. It seems I have to type the whole of my username and password now and then click on the small `remember me` box each time I want to log in, whereas before, all I had to do was type `r` for racinghamster and the rest would automatically fill the appropriate boxes and then I would click on `log in` and that was that. It remembered my details, but now when I type `r` it doesn`t automatically fill in my details, so I have to type them all fully. x

Hopefully Fluffy can help, but it sounds more like an issue with your web browser rather than your account. Have you changed it recently? or cleared your browser history etc?

Re: What`s going on with log in`s?
I was thinking that too leedsgurl but I havn`t deleted passwords just history, cookies etc.... I havn`t changed the way I delete or update anything but that doesn`t mean it can`t happen! I havn`t been able to log in as normal and had to keep changing my password and on a second attempt, I managed to log in, but now I have to type in my full details rather than it `remembering me`. But I tick the little box now anyway or I find it won`t allow me in! Fingers crossed if I log out tonight, I can get back in again. x
ETA: Just logged out and in again and it went fine. x

Depending on the browser and website, clearing cookies will mean it can 'forget' your username and password.
