Wiki issue
I was browsing you wiki and I found two pages that contradicted each other.
"Safe and Unsafe Foods and Plants" page lists acorns as being an Unsafe food. Meanwhile "General Hamster Care" page lists acorns as a fresh food you can offer. I am not sure which is the correct one and would be interested in knowing which one is correct.

Re: Wiki issue
Some of the WiKI articles are quite out of date and we do realise it needs some attention. The articles on the WIKI are the work of the contributers so there could be some conflicting advice.
From what I can gather acorns are OK - they are eaten by all sorts of wild rodents so should be OK for hamsters however if in any doubt, as they are not an essential part of the diet, then best not to feed them. They could have some sort of mould on them or pesticide or may have been touched by wild creatures which could pass on an infection.
