He would be grateful if anyone has the answer to his problem!! His laptop is a Panasonic CF71 Toughbook running on Windows 2000.
We need to know what browser BVMark is using and what version of it.

Unfortunately you cant change the theme color. *snip*
I thought green was a suiting color, it comes off as feeling "happy" plus is the color of nature :P I guess ya cant win em all! There may be a possibility in the future that we could download other templates to use that people can choose from in their User Control Panel. But in those cases, not only would the color change, by the layout of the forum.
That's OK, not to worry! I'll just get used to it in that case! Tis good to know that's the case and I'm not just missing a bit where I can change it (which is quite likely, knowing me!). Another forum I frequent has started this type of layout too, and (being a disbaility forum) had all sorts of complaints over the colours used from various people all of whom wanted/needed a different colour spec in order to be able to read it! But as long as I'm able to read it, which I am, then I'm perfectly happy! Thanks!!!

Profile info on the side is how the forum template came. It was downloaded, we didn't make it. So thats where the avatar/user information will stay. Like I said above to another comment about color. Its possible that in the future we can download other templates people can choose from in their User Control Panel. I will ask Smoo about it. I'm not sure how willing he will be to dive back into that stuff after working very hard on getting this all updated. He may like a break

Signature sizes are a common web banner size, 60 pixels tall by 468 pixels wide. The reason for this is the forum doesn't look cluttered with junk. Varying sizes of signature images can be distracting, and to be quite honest, I cant stand that.

[attachment=0:22ugiqfa]HCwebbanner.jpg[/attachment:22ugiqfa]

There is an example of the size. I think its plenty of room to show off our pet hams
I thought it'd be something like that, I'm sure we'll get used to it. It's just a huge change.

I know I hate large sigs too, but I think at 120-150 pixels things can still look tidy, plus it means that people can't use their sigs from other forums because they're too large and you can't just resize them.

Ah well, better get started on my new banner

If they made them once they can make them again :P If anyone has a signature and they don't have a way to resize it id be happy to do it for them, all they need do is ask I'm a photo shop wiz, I could probably do some custom stuff so long as I have pictures to work with

I'm really not sure what you mean? Syrian on the navigation? Are you talking about the forum logo?

i noticed last night when it said the board was down

i like the idea of uploading direct to the forum cos photobucket drives me mad and seems to choose which of my pics not to bother uploading

i like the sigs idea, i shall add mine and then turn viewing them off cos my comp is show, but others can see my pretty sig

oh, well it appears that my sig is too big and my avatar is too big. i haven't got photo editing so blow it, i'll just have this sunflower seed, which i imagine no-one else will choose

ok i tried to upload an attachment and it says 0 is the max... so i dunno

Yes, its no good when the forum goes down, there are a few users who have expressed having serious withdraw when they cant get to their hamster central! It makes me feel good at least to know its loved that much by some people!

HC use to have signatures, but they were being made way to big and it was a hassle chasing after everyone to shrink theirs down! Plus as you pointed out, not everyone has fast computers or internet connections, so things load slower. But this time each person can turn off the viewing of signatures if they prefer, so we can all get what we want

i must say i am having issues

the dark green bits with darker green writing often disappear to me, plus the text size seems a lot smaller. i have my browser set to overwrite text size but its not working on this, not sure thinking back if it ever over wrote the old site, but the writing appeared bigger, especially on the index lists, now i am really struggling to read them, and this is not even a poor sight day for me, really worried in future there will be many days i just wont be able to access the forum...i hate using my talk back system.

even the little ham pics that show if there are new posts on a board now seem smaller and harder to tell the difference between...

oh also i ticked yes to both breeding and showing, yet it seems not not show them, then suddenly now its showing the showing yes..is it a size of post thing or?
