Default Using a signature to highlight a rescue hamster

It has come to our attention that some members would like to use their signatures, on occasion, to draw attention to hamsters in their care that are seeking new homes as they are rescues and available for adoption.
This situation has not really arisen before and we do have the rescue board facility at the request of members. We would like to advise members that we are confirming that it is okay to use your signature in this way but that it is subject to exactly the same rules as the rescue and rehome boards and any member wishing to do this MUST ask permission from a moderator before changing their signature.
To use your signature banner as an ad for a rescue hamster therefore members must follow these steps. Please note the hamster MUST be in your care or fostered by you and you must be responsible for the rehome personally or be able to act as a representative of the Rescue should you be fostering the animal. You may not post links to sites such as Gumtree etc nor for third parties.
1) Post an ad for the rescue hamster in the appropriate region rescue board using the template as provided in the sticky at the top of the rescue boards.
2) Seek permission from any moderator to amend your signature then wait for a response.
3) Once you receive the go ahead you may amend your signature and post a link to your advert on the rescue board from it.
4) Once the hamster has found a new home, update the rescue thread and remove the signature.
Please ensure this is only used for animals in genuine need of homes.
Please also not that this facility is only available for rescue hamsters and not for items for sale in marketplace or any other purpose.
