i've had my hamster for a few months now and i interact with him almost every day. over the few months he had seemed to get used to my hand being in the cage and petting him, he would bite most people except for me. he was more used to my finger than my hand, so he would bite my hand out of curiosity when i hand fed him but that was it. recently it feels like he doesn't recognize me and has been biting me more, i can't tell if it's out of curiosity or not because recently i had started hand feeding him more frequently than before.

i feel like i need to start some of the taming processes all over again but the thing is that i'm not good at all with hamster bites, which is why i hadn't been hand feeding him much before recently. i usually jerk my hand back which i know isn't helpful. i think i'd be much more comfortable wearing gloves during this, which some have suggested, but i worry he will then be more used to the glove than my hand. any tips?
