Hey!
I do have issues with my hamster and the bugs in his cage (received paper bedding today, so I'll try this), but I just wanted to tell you that I've seen videos where dwarf hamsters are biting and attacking their owners and mine has never done that.
He always comes up to me when I am nearby and he wants to come to my hand and licks it and overall, he's just so nice. He won't even try to escape from me. Even when I place him on bed his always nearby to me and checks where I am at.

I've put him through hell with deep cage cleanings and everything and yet he's still so nice and friendly to me. I can touch him and pet him and I'm happy for that because I remember when I got him I couldn't even touch him.

I just love him.

No idea how old he is though.
