I occasionally have given our hamsters a small piece of cheddar
. I have only used cheddar though. Cheshire or similar is fine too but I wouldn’t try strongly flavoured cheeses like Stilton or smoked cheese. Generally dairy stuff is supposed to be hard for them to digest but I have never had any problems giving them cheese as a treat - maybe once a week - and they enjoy it.
